Please take note of the following changes to E-Verify guidelines in both Georgia and North Carolina. Effective 7/1/13:
*NC employers with 25+ employees will be required to use E-Verify to check work authorization for all new hires. Employers who hire temporary seasonal workers for fewer than 90 days within a consecutive 12-month period and private employers with 24 or fewer employees are not required to use E-Verify.
*GA employers with more than 10 but fewer than 100 employees are required to comply with the E-Verify requirements.
For additional information, please refer to the state law summaries of the ProPayroll HR Support Center or reach out to the HR On-Demand Team.
E-Verify is fully integrated into ProPayroll’s Web Apps workforce management platform.
