Tax Document Package: Reconciliation Recap
Your Tax Document package will include copies or worksheets of the tax returns generated for you each quarter. One report in the package will detail variances and payments. This article will discuss the Reconciliation (Variance) Recap report.
Overview
-
Your tax return copies can be found in the system under Team > Payroll > Reports > Taxes > Tax Documents
-
FuseConnect content will be posted once Tax Documents are available for the quarter
-
The Reconciliation Recap (also referred to as the Variance Recap) report inside your Tax Documents package will go over any variances that will need to be collected/refunded
- If there is more than one package for the quarter, that means an agency required additional adjustments be made after the original package was created. Please review the recap reports on both packages to ensure you have the full picture of the quarter.
Details About the Report
The total amount of the variance can be found at the beginning of the report at the very top
- This is the subtotal of the variances listed below, based on whether or not Fuse needed to collect the funds or refund them to your company bank account.
- Negative Number: Refunded by Fuse to your Company Bank account
- Positive Number: Collected by Fuse from your Company Bank account
- If you see "No Additional Cash Collections" or "Additional Cash Write-Off (postive or negative)" then the total amount to collect or refund was small enough that you won't see any debits/credits to your bank account
